My Sub Woofer Almost Caught on Fire...

Honestly, this was not a good song. The bass was way too distorted and seemed out of time. I didn't fit the drums, which, and I wish you used more than the same looping bass. Nice attempt, though.

hm. I still disagree with you. But that's me. Thanks for the review though

Weird...

It was overall very, very strange. It has a good potential, but not very much... Well, the lead bass synth sound was off, and the drums were really distorted. It CAN work, but just take off some distortion and it will be fine.

really... I disagree, but that's fine.

O_o

It's good. Very good. It's just not what I expected to see from you. I guess this proves that you know more than metal. Nice. Man that a crazy song. Nice job. Man those flutes are insane... I still can't believe someone didn't use this on a flash...

Professional Quality

Amazing. I'm amazed that I could find something this amazing for free (and legal) on the internet. This is honestly what I would expect to find on a commercial album. Everything is in tune and in time, the guitars are perfectly distorted, the drums are strong without being overpowering, and the vocals are just perfect. Seriously, keep up the amazing work!

Devastus responds:

Thank you man. It did take me two times to get it right though :P But it's really nice when I can actually sometimes get everything nailed down just about right.

Thank you for the review.

Amazing!

Dude! This would be GREAT music for using as menu music! It loops great! No flaws that I can find!

Rock on!

Thanks, greatly appreciated =3

Hmm... Overall good.

Like Smartkiss, the intro was too slow, and the drums were rather repetative and bland. It got really annoying. It also appeared to get out of time. The drums never seemed to fit until 2:15... The first 'minor solo' at 1:17 was awesome, and the part at 2:15 was insane (in the good way). The repeating solo was also a bit annoying. It was a good attempt, and it did have it's parts, like at 2:53. It had a smooth flow and the solo came in at a good time, but like said, the repeating solo is something I do not like. Still, things like the guitar 'solo' at 1:17 and the part from 2:53-3:12 are amazing and fit well, but the repeating 'major solo' seemed to push me away from the end of it.

Give it some work, and you have front page material. Just fix up the drums and solo. Seriously, that's all that's wrong.

It also seems to get better every time it loops...

Iplaygames responds:

Hmm... yet again I disagree with you. I've listened to it probably... 10 times and it seems to fit every time. ah well, that's me

Hm.

It's not that great. It's a start of a song. I like the fact that it loops great and the bass and snare are great, but the hi-hat is really annoying. I really don't like it. It's a good beat in theory, but the hi-hat killed it. Perhaps you should try a closed hi-hat or quietly 'riding' the crash?

I highly doubt that would sound good

Great!

It's great. I just wish it was longer. I see a lot of potential for this to be a song. I loved it. The intro was smooth, and the guitar was recorded clean and with the perfect amount of distortion, as usual. Seriously, how do you get such clean recordings? Mine get distorted and totally ruined... Anyways, great test!

Dimoria responds:

That's why almost everything I submit is tests. Because I try out different methods. Well in this track I had a new setup on my guitar. I had raised the height of the microphones quite much so I turned down some presence on the Pod etc and gave it a bit more bass. When I record guitar i make 4 dubs. That is that I play the same thing 4 times. And pan them 100 L 60 L 100 R 60 R so it's completly stereo.
And I use a digital compressor plugin called Waves Rcomp . And I just use cubase's EQ. Nothing fancy. But still , glad you liked it.
Cheers n beers.

Pretty Sweet

Very good! Only a couple of choppy spots, and great looping. The guitar also fit very well.

Meh.

It had a bit of long intro with a sudden sound change that I didn't like. The drums were not that good, and the synth was pretty annoying at time. It had its moments, like the outro. Perfect outro, and it loops well. Keep playing around with your synth and you're sure to master it.
