Hey everyone. I was wondering if there are any good guitarists out there like DaeKsidE555 or Dimoria that can tell me why I can't seem to play at the same 'time' that I need to for a song. What I mean is that I seem to strum a fraction of a second too late. Never early unless I accidentally really speed up, just late. Is it me, the crap mic that came with my computer, or my software? I swear that something is late, I strum, and the sound comes out at the same time, but the computer equalizer bar things seem to rise and drop late.

Sounds to me like some kind of delay in your system. Since you're sure you're strumming in synchrony, yet you're getting your output at the same time, there's a delay somewhere. It could be hardware or software. Most definitely not the mic itself, but it's most likely something inside your computer.
One thing you gotta realize is there's always, always a delay of a few milliseconds between playing and processing. How much depends on your hardware's and software's configuration.
Here's a trick I picked up on back in the days when I was still doing vocals -
If you've got an iPod or some other mp3 player or feel like burning a CD, this works great. You can do it with your computer alone, but there's a good chance you'll get unwanted noise between wires. Best to keep the signals as far apart as possible.
What you do is play the beat of your song through your headphones and record yourself playing as a separate track. Since the lag you're getting is most likely constant you can synch it up to the millisecond after recording by dragging the recorded file in your master mixing program. Or use a free program like Audacity to really fine tune it so you don't have to worry too much about getting mixed up when you put everything together in the mixer. Also with a good editor like Audacity or even Sound Forge you can tweak every single strum to make sure they all match perfectly to your tempo. It's a lot of work, but it definitely pays off.
